BASIC CLUB SAFETY AND GENERAL RULES

**These rules must be followed.  Any members or their guests found repeatedly violating these rules will be asked to leave and relinquish their membership.**

  1. When arriving at the range, sign in at the white sign-in tube.
  2. No alcoholic beverages allowed on range.
  3. Guest fees are $5.00 for each guest who is not in your immediate family. Please deposit fee in the guest boxes at the sign-in tubes.
  4. You are responsible for your guests (Maximum 4 guests per member) and are to act as safety officer.
  5. All minors are to be supervised. No toy firearms are to be displayed on the range.
  6. Safe firearms handling is the responsibility of all members.
  7. NO SHOOTING ALONE.  Another person must be present on the range.
  8. Wear your membership card so that it is displayed for other members to see (this applies to everyone).
  9. EVERYONE must use eye and ear protection on the firing line or while observing.
  10. Call firing line “HOT” or “COLD” as necessary and make sure other members hear and understand you.  Coordinate this with other shooters on the firing line. With ear protection it is sometimes hard for others to hear you.  When blue lights are flashing, the range is “COLD”.
  11. No loaded guns on line when called “COLD” and all actions should be open, magazines and clips out, cylinders open, and slides back.  Do not handle or touch firearms when line is called “COLD” and people are downrange. Wait until range is called “HOT” before touching or loading firearms. This includes re-casing and loading into vehicles.
  12. With the exception of shotgun, aerial shots and shots directed into the ground where a ricochet may occur are prohibited.
  13. Make sure ALL rounds impact the berms. Please practice good ricochet control and don’t let rounds skip off the ground and out of the berms.
  14. Shoot only club approved targets.  No bottles, cans, trees, or club fixtures.
  15. Keep guns pointed in a safe direction.
  16. Police your area and pick up litter and brass and dispose of properly. This includes targets, drink containers, paper products, etc. Don’t leave your mess for someone else to have to deal with.
  17. Sign out before leaving.
  18. Before leaving the range, check the entire range to make certain no one is left alone without their knowledge. Let them know you are leaving and that they are alone. If you are the last person to leave the range, lock the gate.
